Welcome to my Blog

Hi, my name is Mert. I am in the discovery phase of what it means to be an empty-nester, and learning that it is more like the seashore stage of life. The tide keeps coming in and going out (that would be the kids and whoever or whatever comes along). I love Jesus with all my heart and then my wonderful gift of a husband (that would be Byron). We have 3 grown kids that are embarking on their individual life journeys.
Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor the fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet, I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
