Hi my name is Mert. I am in the discovery phase of what it means to be an empty-nester, and learning that it is more like the seashore stage of life. The tide keeps coming in and going out (that would be the kids and whoever or whatever comes along). I love Jesus with all my heart and then my wonderful gift of a husband (that would be Byron). We have 3 grown kids that are embarking on their individual life journeys.
Our family has experienced many joys and sorrows in our lives and are becoming the better for it. The road is sometimes pretty rough and the hills have been steep to climb, but we have learned so much about the grace of God and the hope we have through Christ. Our faith has been greatly strengthened and we enjoy a deeper and more intimate relationship with the Lord as we take each step in faith.
We love being outdoors, whether it be gardening, boating, walking, and our newest adventure, kayaking. We are discovering the world of books all over again. We are either buried in a book, building puzzles, or playing word games.
